My holiday

Hi guys, My name is Vanya and I want to tell you about my activity  during my last holiday.

My holiday started  on 24^th December 2016 until 8^th January 2017.  During my holiday I didn’t go anywhere, I just followed Jamadagni activities for 1 week. So Jamadagni is one of extracurricular in my school, 3 Senior High School. That’s extracurricular is about nature. Like for nature lovers. At first I didn’t interested about that ekskul but then I felt interested and joined that ekskul.

Jamadagni or who usually called jmd held an event that’s called pendas. Pendas is first step for us to be member of Jamadagni. This pendas held on 27^th December 2016 until 2^nd January 2017. Yes, 1 week and I celebrate my new year in this event. This event is really memorable for me and I won’t forget it anymore. Why? Because I got a lot of lessons and valuable experience that I will always remember.

At first I thaught that 1 week will feel very long like 1 year, yes that was true but later I enjoyed my activity. In this pendas, we must lived independently. Disciplined and punctual really need in this camping. And we really relies on nature. Beside that we also studied how to survive in nature in any situation also in bad situation.

In this camping we didn’t bring any tent, but we made it from tree trunk, leaf, and poncho that we bring. We also tried to made a fire so we won’t felt cold when we slept because air temperature at night was really cold. In this camping we cooked our own food and we also ate food from natures such as worms, begonia plant stalk, paku haji leaf, and paku tiang as a substitute for rice. To be honest I felt really slovenly but I don’t have any choice and that wainducteds really memorable.

In this pendas, if we didn’t disciplined we will get consequence such as push up, sit up, or bending. So we must spry and appreciate the time. Beside that we did like a military activity like creeped on the ground and the squat. And we did a long march for 12 hour in last day. Long march is like we walked with bring our carrier. We started long march at 6pm and finished at 6am. Yes that made us felt really tired.

After a week i did my camping, we were all inducted into 'Anggota Muda' or usually called AM and we were officially member of Jamadagni extracurricular. I felt very happy and proud. Like my struggle one week paid off with this inauguration.

After that camping i didn't realized that my vacation was 6 days left. And i spent my holiday in Bandung to rest in my home and hang out with my friends.
